A special Occasions permit has been created for those times a "normal" burn permit may not work. North Bay is a growing community with lots to offer and we are here to help make those times happen all while providing a safe place for you to burn when needed.

eg. Hosting a community event or shooting a movie.

We require
- a Special Occasions Fire Permit Form to be filled out
- a google maps aerial photograph of property with marking where everything will be (See form for all details)
- an inspection of the site where the fire will be
- materials to be dry hard wood
- the area to be safe and the requirements (ie water supply) to be met
-it to be signed off by a fire inspector

The cost for a Special Occasions Fire Permit for 2025 is $139.00

While we are adding this option to the burn permit application on the city website soon, we ask until it is done to please email fireinfo@northbay.ca or give us a call at 705-474-0626 to start the process.
